Participation, Attendance, and Course Recordings: Expectations for Core and Continuing Students

Being a student of Lay School is a commitment to your faith growth.  Participating in classes by sharing your questions and perspective, provides a depth and width in knowledge and growth for every student. As a result, students are expected to be in attendance in courses they register for.  

We understand unique circumstances may come up that keep you from attending.  Please email us at layschool@ecsw.org if you will not be attending in-person or virtually when classes meet.

Attendance is taken in all classes, but students in Core Classes are held to an attendance guideline.  For a course to be eligible towards the Core Program Certificate, students should not miss more then two classes in that course for the school year.

We strive to email a link to the months course recordings to you by the Tuesday after Lay School meets.  This recording link will be active for a limited amount of time and may not be copied due to the right of privacy for fellow students.
